Fox sounded overly cool, Falco didn't sound cool enough, Peppy was okay I guess, Krystal didn't sound young enough, or something, not sure what I didn't like there... Slippy, Leon and Panther I liked, but Wolf, like Fox suffered from being over cool, plus I liked him as a Pom. Seriously, part of their attraction was that they just sounded like ordinary people in SF64 & SFAd, when I heard Fox and that bloody clichéd line at the very start of the game I almost, ALMOST, turned it off right there and then; to me they totally screwed up Fox in particular's character, from the voice down.
Oh and I worked out why I didn't like Krystal's voice, she sounded like an over eager Puppy Dog, rather than a sensible young lady that had seen her own share of tragedy, but was still fairly positive. (Don't know if you can really pick that from a voice, but that's how Adventures Krystal came across to me)
